Your work	I am an associate professor of communication studies employed at one Croatian university from 2007. where a I am now the head of the Chair for media and communication at the Faculty of Humanities. In 2014. I gained a PhD in the field of journalism education which is, since then, my research focus. The one think I am very proud of regarding my professional carrier is that I have developed a new research paradigm in the journalism education studies – sustainability of journalism education. I am the only Croatian scholar which systematically research journalism education. So far, I have published numerous scientific papers on this topic as well as two scientific monographs in the Croatian language. Among other things, I was the chair of the Temporary Working Group Journalism and Communication Education of ECREA. My mission is to develop an International Centre for Sustainable Development of Journalism Education.

Biography

I studied Croatian language and literature and Journalism and gained a PhD in information and communication sciences.

I worked as a teacher of Croatian language and literature in elementary schools. I was also a journalist and editor in a local daily newspaper, city radio and local Istrian Television, and a reporter for the national Croatian Radio Television (HRT) and RTL Croatia. Since then, I have been working on projects in cooperation with local and national media.

For the last eighteen years, I have been working as a university professor, teaching courses in communication sciences such as mass media, business communications, intercultural communication, communication skills, media relations, etc.

As a researcher, I mostly study journalism education, especially from a theoretical and conceptual perspective. The focus of my research interest is the sustainability of journalism education.
